Hello - In replacing my front wheel bearings, I accidentally snapped my ABS wire which resulted in a short in my skid control ECU. At least, that is what the dealer told me was wrong. No lights, just code U0073 remaining.

The repair is about $3K, with the new part as over $2K of that. The dealer said I could replace the part myself and bring it back to have calibrated, which is about $400.

My question to the experts is: where is the skid control ECU located? I am not able to find any information online that is definitive.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's the master cylinder. I would get a second opinion. A broken or shorted wire should not have taken out the ecu in the master cylinder.

It could be a 1 hour no parts repair.
