EPA has announced 2017 biofuels quotas. Ethanol mandates are up a little but not the aggressive move to E15 that the ethanol industry wants to see. Because gaso sales are higher now, it is easy for EPA to increase ethanol quotas a little bit. If we get back into a recession with lower gaso sales, it could be a problem to meet the EPA new quotas. OK for now I guess. The higher ethanol quotas probably means higher E0 gaso cost and lower volumes of E0 sold, which was the subject of a prior post I stuck somewhere in another thread.
