I want to set my daily charge for the night-time AND be able to plug-in during the day. Can I have both or is it one or the other?
Owner's manual has a few pages on scheduling charging. You can plug in anytime and set it to charge later.
As @bisco said, keep the nightly charge schedule, and during the day when you want to override the nightly charge schedule, just push the "Charge Now" button.
Its one or the other. Ive programmed in a weekend and weekday charge schedule, in that order. The last input schedule pops up as your first choice in the menu. I leave the default as charge now, so when I'm out an about and plug in it'll start charging automatically. I set/activate my scheduled charging, on my way home - when I hit a stop light.
