2018 Prius Prime navigation SD card error

For the last few months, my built-in navigation has stopped working where it says unable to read SD card data. At first this happened sporadically, and now it mostly doesn't work though it occasionally will. Oftentimes it will work briefly and then the error will come on. I've tried taking it in and out, putting it into a laptop to make sure it's still readable, and getting an updated card. The updated card seems to now make it show a compass when I start up but still gives the error. Someone had posted having the same symptoms and it being solved with a new card, but that hasn't worked for me so far. Is there any way to clear it out? I do remember last time I got a new card it seemed like it had to reload some stuff but this time it just gave the error right away - not sure what to make of that. There is an option I see to delete personal data, which I could try but I'm not sure what personal data would be saved on my car other than what it got off my phone. There is also a maintenance menu in the Entune menu that also gives the SD card error when I press it...
