Does anyone know if a used oem 2020 key fob can be flashed/cleared and reprogrammed for a different car. TIA
If the used FOB is the same model as the working one I'm 99% sure you can. The key point is you do need a FOB that currently works with the car.
I have a current working key fob, but was wanting a spare. The local locksmith told me that he doesn't know of a way to flash/clear the fob for the 2020 Prius. So, I'm looking for any technical support, ideas or anything that I can tell him that's needed to flash/clear the used OEM fob. The used fob is for the same model.
I may be speaking out of school or above my pay grade but I believe a dealer uses a tool called Techstream to do the cloning.
