Three days ago on the road I take to work in 27F weather where cars on that road don't follow the 60mph limit and like to go fast, very fast...

I like to drive fast too and wanted to test out the improvements I have done.

Coming from a 2005 Nissan 350z a prius is a different world but...I like it.

I saw my target on the road that morning
I did not want him to pass me on the steep incline we were on, so I gunned it.

I did not really know what kind of car it was but I saw it wanted to pass me.

Well...it did not keep up with me on the incline and it took a bit to catch up once we were on the straightaway.

It did end up passing me but I was hella happy on the incline.

I was doing 80-85mph easy that day.

The next day same car is on the road and again we go...

I pushed it hard...too hard and was at 95mph when I let off the pedal.

Later I was talking to a coworker and he said nice race this morning....

I was tripping out it was him because I was not sure but he knew it was me.

We both have black out tints so I couldnt see him.

He was very surprised at how fast she pulled he said and that shes a quick one.

He said he didnt spool the turbo because he doesnt have winter tires and he gets squirly in these below freezing temps.

I thought a prius was slow.
    Not this one though...

Anyway I will not be driving that fast anymore but I will be doing an easy 80 when needed.

    Isn't Socal worse?

One of the jokes here, long ago, was that if you tried to drive I-5 from its Northern to Southern endpoints at constant speed, you'd get jailed up here for driving too fast, and shot down there for driving too slow.

Unfortunately, hostile bad habits from elsewhere have been gradually migrating in here and trying to take over, with some partial 'success'. Especially so since the Pandemic and other politics very sharply reduced law enforcement.
