Just an FYI that Toyota just released a new TSB for a bunch of 2023-24 Toyotas for a DCM-related issue. It does not include anything about battery discharge issues. Apparently some cars are having problems using the DCM to communicate after the car has been turned off for a few hours. The new firmware update is supposed to help with this. I'll attach the TSB document, but here is the relevant section for Prius owners: The only way to determine the current firmware revision of your DCM is with a TechStream reader, so this is a dealer-level fix for everyone but the most well-equipped DIY-er. I plan to ask them to check my firmware revision and do the update whenever the rear door recall happens.
