Need to replace the fusible link in the main fuse box. It appears to be held in place by two bolts below the visible fuses. Tow driver crossed the jumper wires and blew the fuse.
Buying parts for Gen5 Prius is new territory for everyone... What did the Toyota Dealer say about warranty coverage for this? Clearly it wasn't vehicle owner error? Seems tow truck company needs to fix this for you or make arrangements to have it fixed? So strange that after all these years Toyota has still not added a reverse polarity warning beep w/circuit protector rather than just making the fuseable link deal with it.
If you used the included roadside assistance from Toyota, then toyota and the tow truck company that toyota contracted/paid to provide the service will need to figure that out between themselves. For you, the solution is getting it to the dealer and then having them and Toyota and the third party then figure it out while you have it fixed at no cost to you.
