I had a 2018 Prius Prime Plus. If I had the headlights on, I could turn the car off, lock it, and I could either lock it again to turn the headlights off or I could leave it and the headlights would turn off by themselves after a minute or so. In my new 2024 Prius Prime SE, if I have the headlights on, it screams at me to turn them off when I turn off the car and open the door. Can I do anything to affect this very alarming behavior? The manual (p271) calls it a "light reminder buzzer" which hardly describes the noise. On the same page, the manual says there is an "Automatic light off system" which, if on, prevents the buzzer. There is a setting for "Time elapsed before headlights automatically turn off after doors are closed", which is set for 30 seconds. Is that not the "Automatic light off system"? This is the one thing that seems like a backward step from my old car and is quite confusing. Any ideas?
