My dealer charged me $255 for the 30K maintenance. I saw the schedule and it seems mostly INSPECT the conditions/levels of several items. It is one of those dealers where i have to to take itto to get free oil changes/tires for life. Most dealers charge $299 or less to $228. This seems high for Toyota when the standard coolant replacement is not done till 100k. So my question is i get the free loaner car & car wash and free oil change $50 dollar discount. Is there any non Toyota dealer that can do the same computer analysis for Major Service? Seems awful lot for mostly INSPECT tasks
well, you've got: oil and filter: $100. cabin filter: $50. (if they replaced it) air filter: $40. (if they replaced it) rotate tyres: $20. brake inspection and lube if needed: $20. total: $230. from $255. = $25. for rest of inspection. to answer your question, yes, if you have a decent mechanic, they can do the work and inspections, probably for 2/3 the price. all the best!
To help put things in perspective the 30k service on my wife's Subaru was $630, be glad you have a Toyota.
