The Avg MPG display in the car reads 40 and change but I'm getting 37 by my own calculations. I'm happy with this but there's room for improvement. I drive for fuel economy and my wife just drives as she would any other car. We also use the a/c virtually every time we're in the car (South Florida and a toddler whom we cannot hear with the windows down).
Tires are Bridgestone Turanza EL400. Probably not the best tires, eh? They came with the car and still have a good amount of tread life. I'll go with LRR tires when the tire comes for replacement. Thinking about Ecopias.
if they are oem, they are usually better at mpg's than anything else. most people complain after tyre replacement.
37 mpg is good numbers for a v ! I don't use eco mode in city only for freeway other wise ya piss off other drivers! Beside gas is cheap! My truck get 7-12 mpg when gas was $5.00 + per gal over $250.00 a tank that gives me about 200 miles
I should mention I drive only in Normal mode. I ditched Eco mode a while back in favor of better throttle control and climate control.
Switching off ECO shouldn't be a factor. Your tires may be Low Rolling Resistance, I'm not that up on Prius v tire sizes, and there's one size that has 2 versions, one IS LRR. Check here: Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02
