Hello, I'm in need of a set of TPMS sensors for my 2012 Prius. I transferred the set from my stocks to my aftermarket wheels and now I'd like to have another set for my stocks for longer road trips. Before I buy a new set, I'd like to see if anyone has extras in working condition they'd like to sell. Please message me if you have any for sale or know of an online vendor with great pricing. Might be best to get a set that is new and not activated, rather than used, because of battery life (~10 years by many estimates).
@m3pare, Just checking to make sure you saw this thread from another CA member offering a set: For Sale - PMV-C010 TPMS sensors taken off a 2016 Corolla S | PriusChat (You have to check that these will work on your car; they won't fit my Gen 2)
Thank you ILuvMyPriusToo for looking out for me and M3Pare, but sorry to both, PMV-C010 does not work on Prius hatchbacks, not Gen 2, nor Gen 3. I look hard to get the set that came out of a totalled 2014 Prius so I know i have about 7-8 years of service life to them. I paid almost double of what they sell on eBay, although cheaper but I dont want toget from eBay since sellers won't tell you what year they came from, who knew if the sensors came from 2008 and after 1 year of use battery may go dead. Late model "take off units", IMO, is the way to go if you don't want to keep spending time and money on the same issue.
