We now have 28,000 miles on our Prius. I have not kept accurate records on fuel usage as my wife mainly drives the car, and she
has no major interest on MPG's.

However I have noticed that the computer is off by 3 MPGs in the positive quite consistently.

The lowest we recorded was in November 2009 when the temps' were as low as 13 degrees F. That figure was 40.5 MPG calculated.

Lately with temps in the 50's the MPG's have been improving where the average MPG's is about 46-48 MPG when my wife drives. When I drive the MPG's are usually 51-55 MPG, calculated.

    Total Mileage on Vehicle: <10800/6711>
    Total Mileage This Year: <3100/1926>
Fuel Economy (MFD): <60 US MPG, 72 UK MPG, 4.0L/10km>
    Fuel Economy (Calc'd): <56US MPG, 67.2 UK MPG, 4.2L/100lm>
Total Amount of Fuel Purchased: <119.8Gal US, 453.6L>

Remarks: Temps were as usual here in "Winterpeg" but still nothing that cannot be mitigated by the usual measures as the car alone can only do so much.
Also, the 2010 unit was delivered towards the end of July 09, so it does not have a full year under its belt. Furthermore, it had a full winter run but not a full summer. Mileage may be significantly better when the end of July arrives... hopefully I'll manage to hit the goal of 90g CO2 /Km this year... who knows.

    Cheers;

    Fuel Economy (Calc'd): 40 MPG (US), 48 Imp. MPG, 5.8 L/100km
Total Amount of Fuel Purchased: 232 US gallons, 878 litres

I bought my car last June so just about a full year of data now. 7000 km of my total 15550 is from road trips. One 2300 km trip from Vancouver to the Kootenays and one 4700 km trip from Vancouver to Indio, California and back.
Mileage is worse than I was hoping for, but I think it's to be expected with how I use my car and the mods I've done to it. My commute is short and hilly, terrible, but we're moving to a flatter area soon and this should get better. I have a subwoofer in my trunk, and put on wider 17" wheels which have also done a number on my MPG. I'm hoping I'll have better stats to report next year!
Best tank: 49.4 MPG Worst tank: 32.6 MPG

Remarks: Last summer and fall saw mostly highway travel, including a long vacation loop around the west-half U.S. Since regaining employment in late December, primary use has been an 18 mile commute.

This graph of MPG vs. Odometer show 3k miles of moderate speed acclimation to the world of hybrids, 6k miles of fully loaded higher speed road trip, a very cold December at 10k, ending with gradual improvement as I polish my commuting route and the weather warms.

Our Gen III is one year old today. It has 11640 miles and has an average mpg(display) of 54.8. However that is an average of 5% higher than the average calculated of a little over 52mpg. We are very satisfied with our 2010 Prius. For a V it has performed very well.

    Comments:
75 mile RT commute (mostly freeway) since October, 2009 in the Seattle, WA area, including some daily hill driving. Now that the weather is consistently in the 60-70F range, the mileage is in the 51MPG (calc) range.

    Fuel Economy (Calc'd): 54.3 mpg (23.1 km/L)

Remarks: My mileage keeps increasing as I get better at hypermiling, and find better routes to work. My last two tanks were above 60 mpg. I live in suburban Philadelphia which has a lot of small hills. I still haven't figured out how to get home without going up a hill. I keep my tires at 40-42, have the bottom grill blocked 100% from fall to spring, have a ScanGuage to monitor temperature, RPMs etc. I have an engine block heater, but have not gotten the courage to take my car apart to install it yet.

I have just completed the first year of ownership of my Prius purchased on 8/28/2009. My stats are:

Total Mileage on Vehicle: 16,021 Miles
Total Mileage This Year: 16,017 miles
Fuel Economy (MFD): 51.1 US mpg
Fuel Economy (Calc'd): 47.8 US mpg
Total Amount of Fuel Purchased: 334 US gallons

My driving in eastern NC is relatively flat and my daily commute is a 52 mile RT with 40 miles at 60 mph highway speeds with CC and 12 miles of city stop and go.

Picked up the car on the 28th of August 2009 as well. Here are my one year stats (half way through the current tank)

Total Mileage on Vehicle: 17999.7km (11,250 mi)
Total Mileage This Year: 17999.7km (11,250 mi)
Fuel Economy (MFD): 4.5L/100km (52.27 US mpg)
    Fuel Economy (Calc'd): 4.8L/100km (49 US mpg)
Total Amount of Fuel Purchased: 859.125 litres (227.28 US gal)

Remarks: Fairly flat terrain with two trips across the Rocky Mountains. Short commute of 9 km (5.6mi) means the engine doesn't get to warm up this winter. The coldest temperature was -40°C/°F last winter. Instant fuel economy (even with grill blocked) was reading 7L/100km or 33.6mpg. Winter tyres were used for nearly 7 months this year. Pressures at 40/38 for stock tyres (Bridgestone Ecopia EP20) and 42/40 for winter tyres (Nokian Hakkapeliita R)

    Best tank was 4.0L/100km (59mpg) at 914km (571mi).

Our Prius turns one year old tomorrow and so far we're very pleased with the fuel economy.

Total mileage on Vehicle: 13,135 miles

Worst tank was very first tank: 9.411 gallons, 482 miles, 51.2 mpg calc'd, 53.4 mpg displayed. Best tank was most recently-completed tank: 9.928 gallons, 622 miles, 62.6 mpg calc'd, 66.0 mpg displayed. Most of the driving was done in Northern Virginia and DC.

The dips in the attached chart were due to Snowpocalypse (Feb), a trip to North Carolina (May), and a trip from DC to Ohio (August).
