RE oil filter housing...can 1.8 l housing be switched out with larger 3.5 housing to increase oil filter size. Or is this like monitoring engine with aftermarket gauges...rpm, oil pressure or temp, coolant and battery voltage ---just a waste of effort , time and money?

If you're going to mount an oil filter relocation kit, then mounting an oil pressure sensor might be done along with that.
