We made it to 71,000 miles before our 2018 Prius c two needed its first repair, a wheel bearing. The car had a pretty loud hum from 35mph on up. I know, I know, it's cheaper just to teach them the lyrics... I paid a neighborhood mechanic to diagnose, then R&R the bearing, about $400. First test drive suggests he nailed it. How far along was yours the first time it needed something beyond programmed maintenance?
My 2012 had 110k miles before we parked it in the garage 3 years ago. Besides maintenance services (oil change /10k , air filter / coolant / ATF change once each, 1 set of tire), the only unexpected thing was water in one of the rear light housings. Oh, auxiliary battery was replaced 1 year ago.
Nothing yet but mine has only 16k km, only thing is that sometimes I have issues with the audio and also sometimes the reverse camera turns black and white in the mornings, I took to maintenance services every 6 months and asked them to check that, they like readjust the cables but after a while it cames back, I think it may be something related to the GPS tracker but I need to take it to the service provider to check that.
