A/C control knob problem

    I started having a problem with the round clicker knob that controls the A/C. Instead of going up or down on each click, it may go up 2, 3 or 4 changes with each click. Has anyone else had this problem? Very annoying and was wondering if anyone has a solution before going to the dealer since it's no longer under warranty.

    Is it possible that some moisture got into/under the knob? I haven't seen this behavior on ours.
