I keep the A/C system on recirculate almost all the time, to help with my allergies, and to not have to breathe fumes from others cars & trucks. Lately, during the extreme cold we've had here in NC, I've noted that when I reboot, my setting of recirculate reverts back to flow-thru. Is this happening because of lower temps? phil via Nokia
If temperature is cold enough, maybe cooler than about -2c or 28F AC can’t operate. That will cause windows to fog if air is in recirculate. Maybe system is trying to stop that from happening?
you can get a carbon cabin filter from the aftermarket. it costs a little more, but it should help to keep allergens out of your car. the regular filter is very thin and is only a dust filter at best.
