A/C unit as a heater

    Hello!

    The new Plug In Prius from Toyota has a heat pump to generate heat in the inside. And it uses the A/C Compressor as far as I know.

    Have somebody tried something like that in a Prius II ?

    it never made it to final production in the u.s.:( too expensive.

    :( sorry.
    I was wondering about that, because I want to build my own PHEV with something like PeeF had done. But in winter it's cold without the ICE Heater, so I need another heat source.
