I have a question, I hope someone can help I drove back home today and when I shut off the car, I hear the alarm sound for about one second and then no alarm. then the key indicator flash in the dashboard. it flash no matter what unless I start the car again. Anyone know why? Thanks for the help
Why is because your car has an engine immobilizer. It's a warning to potential car thieves to go elsewhere. Tom
You don't shut off the flashing light. It's supposed to flash. Its entire purpose is to flash. It only stops flashing when the car is in operation. Tom
I think if I remember correctly, it suppose to flash only if the car is shut off and the door is opened. I am wrong on this? I think it suppose not to flash when I lock the car. right??
We repeat this thread about once a month when someone first notices the flashing icon. Some people see it right away, some have taken a year. Some read the manual, some post on PC. Anyway, it's a common question, and yes, it is normal for it to flash. Tom
