Hi everybody, Just wanted to share my recent experience at a local Toyota Dealership, Jones Toyota near Bel Air, MD. I was basically a lurker on Priuschat and Priusonline.com eager to read about each and everyone's purchase experience. I certainly learned a lot. I was able to utilize the tools made available (Kiloran's cost\options spreadsheet was a tremendous help!) on Priuschat and came away with a Prius! Like most new buyers, I've decided it was time for me to act quickly if I needed to get a Prius by Sept. 30 (so I can take advantage of the $3150 tax credit). I called around and Jones Toyota responded to my call telling me about their Labor Day sale and the availability of a Seaside Pearl Package #6 Prius. I was skeptical at first figuring they'd artificially jack up the prices and take a few hundred off to justify these "sale" prices. But during negotiations, I was able to get a decent deal (I was just happy that I didn't have to pay MSRP!) It really pays to do your homework and show the salesmen what you know and want. B) I am now a proud owner of a Seaside Pearl 2006 #6 HK Package Prius (with Z1-Preferred accessory package & EF-Rear Bumper Applique). All that for $1300 under MSRP ($25,000 vs $26464)! The sales man was pleasant to deal with and was never pushy (pushiness being an instant turn-off for me). I considered myself very fortunate since they had the package and color of what I wanted. I guess it's true about being at the right place at the right time. My other local Toyota dealerships weren't able to match the deal (the closest was $1000 off of MSRP and they didn't have my color nor instant availability). I consider myself very blessed to take advantage of this offer.
