    Hi Everyone!

I'm hoping to become a Prius owner this coming Monday and I wanted to run my potential purchase by you guys.

I found a 2005 Prius Pkg 6 with JBL, Nav, Bluetooh w/ 73,5xx miles. Went over and test drove it today and it felt great on the road. Car tracks well, new tires, comfortbale, and the JBL speakers sound nice.

Exterior - sun fade on spoiler, some on the roof, and right below 4 windows. There is a sizable dent on left quarter bumper.

Interior - Pretty good considering it is a 2005. Some fading on the radio buttons.

Records - HV battery replaced by Toyota dealer @ 68,503 miles on March 2013! She says that the HV battery needed replacement because according to the dealer she wasn't driving her vehicle enough and the battery got a bad cell block .... V-belt replaced, water pump, and hybrid water pump replaced @ 60,358 miles March 2012! Both these records confirmed on Toyota owners site by entering VIN. Owner gets random oil changes at Chevron, Sears, etc.

Price - She is asking $8700

I told her I'm willing to pay it and I'm now in the process of acquiring a loan from my credit union.

What do you all think of the price for this car? Anything I should be concerned about?

I don't know about your area but a 2005 with everything would go for $8K-$9K with over 100K miles So this sounds like a great deal at a fair price (y)

I just paid $10K for a 2007 Touring package 3 with 112K miles and thought it was a good deal. Sounds like mine's in a little better cosmetic condition, but that still sounds quite good.

Thank you for your responses. I am now part of the family after acquiring the aforementioned car. I'm going to take my first long trip to work today and am excited to see the mpgs on this compared to my 26 mpg Volkswagen GTI.

1st thing I'm obsessing about isupgrading the disappointing sound system!!
