It stormed like crazy last night and I misjudged a puddle (was deeper than I thought) the ABS light came on and stayed on. Brakes seem fine. Any idea where to start looking for the problem?
I would disconnect the 12v battery and reconnect it. See if that clears the code out. If that doesn't work, run a code scan and see what it's complaining about. You may have a damaged sensor.
I see this often in Subarus (we play in the mud a bit more) Generally the sensor will dry out on its own, and once the code is reset no further action is required. If you're in a hurry you can dry out the sensor more quickly with a hair dryer or a fast drive on a sunny day depending on what's available.
