I see a junkyard paint mark on my old ABS; when I was pulling the brake lines, the 2nd from bottom was a *** & required vicegrips to get broke loose & about 50% off. That one & the top of block are troublesome, The 2nd from bottom was coerced in, but the top, almost feels too wide to start. It looks like some of the brake lines have junction blocks within the engine bay (enabling JUST part of the brake line to be replaced)- I'm hoping all of them do? Any other suggestions? =)
Are you sure it's junkyard marking what color is it A funny looking blue or a pink? Anyway yeah I haven't run into any yet that has been replaced I thought this would be a one shot deal and you probably wouldn't do it again before you hit the magic five or 600,000 crap. But yes those brake line ferrules are a real pain if you get them across threaded or any of that business You need to use one of those what is it a flare wrench I think they call it because you really have to be careful with him I usually spray them with kroil The day before I'm going to do the job if I have the vehicle just to make certain something's been sitting on them trying to penetrate those threads a little bit sometimes they can get bad and I'm sure in other parts of the country and world they can get really disgusting but having the right wrench really makes a difference I hate to try and have to put vice grips and all of that stuff but you got to do what you got to do I guess.
