Has anyone had trouble with their AC and their condenser? Ours leaked fluids (no hole seen during check-up) and the condenser had to be replaced. I have a 17 year old Subaru and other 'old' cars in my history and nothing like this has ever happened to them. Toyota wouldn't pick up the bill for this. Hmmmm...
road debris can kick up a hole into the condenser... it isn't really any more or less protected than other cars. just (bad) luck of the draw. we put a screen behind the lower grille to hopefully protect a little better since we take long road trips to see family. maybe see if your car insurance will pick up the tab- road hazard.
