About 2 weeks ago, my (no longer) brand new 2005 prius was rear-ended on the freeway, pushing me into the car ahead of me. It is currently being repaired, all of the replacement parts are new. Should I anticipate future issues with Toyota and my extended warranty?

I can't say anything about warrenty issues, but I do want to extend my condolences.

If you search, you will find other threads about people being in accidents. Perhaps you can PM those people individually and ask what warrenty issues they might have encountered.

Thanks. Having Sparky (he's electric ;-) get hurt was quite a shock. Especially since it was through no fault of my own; I was _stopped_ in traffic...

I've never had a car get damaged inside the warranty period, and had the sudden paranoid thought. I just got off the phone with Longo Toyota (the local huge toyota dealership), and they assured me that it won't be an issue. Apparently there really isn't anywhere but Toyota to get the replacement parts, and the repairs won't affect the warranty.

    *whew*!
