This car comes with Toyota Safety Sense (SS) but does not include adaptive cruise control (ACC) like some other Toyota models with SS (this one only has manual cruise control). It does have automatic emergency braking, however, so should have the necessary front-facing radar. Is it possible to upgrade the manual cruise control to ACC on this car without installing new sensors and wiring? I don't expect a firmware upgrade would be sufficient, but maybe a limited hardware upgrade, such as steering wheel as well.
Sounds like TSS-C (same system we have in our "Auris" called the Corolla iM in North America). Well you'd need an actual millimeter wave radar to replace the lidar on the windshield for one.
