I got a 2011 Prius 2 from an auction last week. I saw that the Prius 3s have the screen in it. I like the screen for a number of reasons (including the aftermarket Blu Logic Bluetooth is a joke). My understanding is 2011 had both, Prius 2 and Prius 3, and this is the only thing I really care on. I'm electric savvy (IPC Certs) and am wondering if I could take a screen/console from a Prius 3, and replace the FM Stereo in the middle Dash Console in mine with it?
Yes probably. But it might be easier and cheaper to just sell the one you have at a profit and get one with what you want on it. Or just learn to live with what you have. GASP.
I would be just looking at getting one from a junkyard for cheap sometime. I just bought this from an auction ($2,300), unsure I could flip it. Any time I want to change song, I have to reach under the middle compartment holding the gearshift, to a Bluetooth FM changer I may have to buy. If I could change songs, would be less of an issue to "be happy with what I have". You have any sources on how the wiring layout is for each of the two middle consoles?
