Is it hard (if possible at all) to adjust the amount of recuperation in 2015 PIP in such a way, that when I move my foot off the pedal and let the car glide, it would engage 100% of recuperation? If you ever drove a Volt, you should understand what I mean.
What @bisco said. If you want to regenerate more than what you get from coasting (and therefore create a little more heat in the wires) just move that right foot over the the other pedal and modulate it to where you want it. Tip on the cruise control: if you're using the cruise control, holding down on the stalk regenerates pretty aggressively, too. But situations where it's both needful and safe seem pretty rare to me.
Have you tried putting the car in 'B' instead of 'D'? This isn't such a good idea in HV mode, just EV. And while I don't yet have any plug-in car, comments seem to indicate that it works quite well on the 2017 Prime, better than on the 2012-2015 PiPs.
Wouldn't that be imposing a lot more drag, slow you inordinately? There's no free lunch, it's a balancing act. Just editorial: "regeneration" is more appropriate than "recuperation" I think. You might be able to edit the title too.
…sounds like you really could do with a Saab 96 (with the free-wheel device) (…see threads passim, or wiki)
Besides using B mode, the amount of regeneration can be increased by using the brakes. I maximize my regeneration by braking early and lightly enough keep the HSI in the CHG portion of the indicator. It would be nice to have some paddles at the steering wheel to engage this.
Same here. I like being able to modulate the brakes to use as little as possible and still stop in time.
