Could someone point me to a good tutorial on evacuating & recharging Gen 3 a/c? I plan to work on sons' car which cools some at night, but not in the day. I have a vacuum pump and gram scale in addition to the r410 gauge set, so I can refill by weight. But is it necessary to replace the receiver/ dryer? Is Rock Auto the best source? Is it on the side of the condenser as it is on my Jetta?

I leave that A/C stuff to the pro's but did just ask a guy at Tire World if they recharge A/Cs and they do. Newer cars use a more expensive gas so they are over $200 while the older cars are only $139. I'd assume a 2010 uses the older stuff.
