I went and got my oil changed today I made it a few miles when my car wouldn't go.. right then the triangle came on it will let you put it in drive but then the mph on the dash board disappear and it won't do anything..could this be caused from them putting to much oil in? What year is your car? Have you checked the oil level? How many miles on your car? Do you have gas in your car? SM-N900P ?
It's a 2006 mileage 132938 he said he checked the oil and it was over filled I don't know a whole lot about cars just stressing and trying to figure out what could've happened my fiances at work we had to leave it where it was sitting till in the morning when he can call the place I had it changed at... He also said they put the wrong oil in it..castrol 5w30...its also throwing low engine power.. I don't know the number on the codes..im sorry Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Not all the dash lights only the mph goes away like for example when you put the car in drive you see 0 mph before you go well that goes away that's the only thing that's not showing right as far as lights. Do you think it messed up my car bad? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
If your car died and shut off, it would not show the mph if you cannot get it to start again. You can only see the 0 when your car is in ready mode. When not in ready mode, that would be blank
So when my fiance got there this morning..it cranked right up and hv battery was fine it was like nothing ever happen..he said he thinks its cause the engine was cooled off but if it gets back hot it's gonna throw those codes again? Still a oil overfill? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Check the oil level. Sounds like an overfill to me. If you don't know how to do it, feel free to Google a video on YouTube or give me a call.
