I want to add the backup camera on 2010 prius. Is it ok if in the back,i use 12v battery supply power for camera and Wireless receiver. On the front i will use Wireless lcd and get power from circuit. I just dontwant to mess up with wiring and regulator. Thanks
BigBear2010, I'm not an EE but I think you need to find out how much energy (amps) your camera and lcd tv use. Then you can look for wires in the prius that can supply that much current. To do that you need to look at the prius wiring diagrams. That's where the EEs come in . Is the camera going to be on all the time ??
The camera will on when the car reverse. I used to install backup camera in 2010 VW golf, but because Prius is electric sensitive, so I'm really scared.
