Bought some aftermarket fog lights off of Ebay.. Started the install today, but rain has put a stop for now. Getting the actual lights installed wasn't too bad.. but I'm not seeing an easy way to get the wiring through the firewall and into the inside behind the dash... it's cramped, and hard to see past everything in the way. Has anyone here run wires from the engine compartment into the driver's side? How? Hahaha..
Look for grommet in firewall from inside the vehicle under dash... Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
You can probably use a similar route that the Gen 3 Prius hatchback folks use, specifically a rubber grommet near the brake pedal that runs through the firewall. Here's a link to a thread, there's also a link to the original install thread in the first post: 2010 Prius Fog Light Install [Retrofit] | PriusChat FYI, those foglights are not very good for illuminating the road, and also throw light above the lowbeam headlight cutoffs. This creates glare to other drivers in front of you. You can confirm the high angle glare by parking your car about 20 to 30 ft from a wall and noting the lowbeam light pattern and cutoff against the wall. Then switch the foglights on and you will see light above the lowbeam cutoffs. This is the glare that is annoying to others around you. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
