I recently installed a used Bruno Turn out seat on passenger side And had to revamp the base plate from Dodge to Prius (2005). There is no wiring on Bruno seat . I was able to connect the seat belt wire And no seat belt icon came on. However two more sensors (One for seat back and other for seat bottom) are not hooked up as the sensors are hidden in the prius seat. Therefore a air bag icon is lit. Does this mean that the passenger seat air bag will not deploy. It would be difficult to change these sensors to the Bruno seat. Please help. Don
Passenger seat side airbag would be non-existent if you removed the stock seat (it's in the seat), and the passenger front airbag would not deploy since the occupant classification sensor is in the stock seat as well (enables the airbag). I'm not sure if any of the other airbags would be affected by this (hopefully not), but the SRS airbag light should stay lit until all connectors and sensors are properly connected.
