air intake box

    i always like to know what's going on in the engine bay

    what is the box at arrow in engine bay?

    It may hold and trap gasses that try to leave through the intake. Just my guess.

    Yeah, that's my guess as well. Some sort of resonator/suppressor. The parts catalog and repair manual don't break it out as a separate component, it's part of the "air intake assembly."
