Should the Airbag light be eliminated? Im leaning toward OFF cause its annoying! If it should be off, how do I turn it off? Also, if I throw a coat on my passenger seat the passenger seat belt light comes on...how do I stop that as well? Thanks
Yes, it should be off if the SRS is working without faults detected. The light on means there is a fault you need to be aware of. You can read the codes (or have the codes read) that have been set by the SRS to determine what it is not happy about. You can then fix the problem and the system will be happy once again and no more light on. Is it a heavy coat? If not there must be something wrong with the seat occupancy sensor. Either fix the problem or find another place to lay your coat.
