A friend of mine told me recently that he read somewhere that Prius was going to come out with an all wheel drive model. Has anyone else heard about this?...….I can't find anything on the web.
If you google "AWD Prius" you will see links to the automotive press discussions of the rumor. I hope that they come true in the 2015 model year (end of 2014). JeffD
Lexus already has the RX hybrid in 2WD and AWD models. They both kind of suck in the MPG department, but the precedent is there. Personally I'd much prefer a plug-in v. There's not enough ground clearance on a v for AWD to make much difference. The car already handles ice and snow just fine.
..... the RX SUV hybrid - nearly 300hp - with towing capacity no less .... EPA is what ... 30-ish MPG? That's sucky? Is the 'kinda sucky' designation based on a comparison to some better similarly sized/powered hybrid SUV? .
