I have a 2016 Prius eco2 and I would like to find some sort of maintenance manual. My vehicle now has 92,000 miles and there are a lot of items I want to service, such as transmission fluid, coolant, brakes, etc and I know a lot of info is here on the site but I would like access to a dedicated manual. Has anyone tried subscribing to ALLDATA diy for the gen 4 Prius? I went to the website and it lets me select the year and model and the subscription plan that I want, $159 for three years online. I guess using it for something like transmission oil change would pay for it. The dealer quoted me $310! Any suggestions?
Here's a 4th gen Repair Manual excerpt for the transaxle fluid change. It's very similar to 3rd gen, but they go on and on about temporarily reinstalling drain/fill bolts, to minimize time the interior is "exposed to the air". I'd say just ignore that and don't dawdle. I'll pm you a link for the full manual. Only caveat, there IS no official pdf version, so it's a bit of a mishmash, cobble by someone. AFAIK it's all in there, but there's some odditites: sub-categories are sorted alphabetically, so install proceeds removal, and while there "is" a bookmark tree, only the first two layers are properly titled, from thereon down it gets overly verbose. The hyperlinks don't work, point to Tech Info website, but just searching the file for a text string works fairly effectively.
