It seems our brothers are working on an open source platform to remotely monitor their Ampera (Volt), building on the work done for the Tesla Roadster. Open Vehicle Systems Besides monitoring charging status it looks like they have added charging logs, drive logs and remote tracking. V2 hardware is $99, iPhone and Android apps as well.
