Just picked up "An Inconvenient Truth." Funny--the store couldn't find the new release shipment because the DVD is not packaged in the plastic covers like standard DVDs. It's in a shrink-wrapped cardstock folder. All the labels and shrinkwrap are corn-based. I like it! Maybe we'll have a DVD repackaging movement like CDs did in the early 90s.

Shrink-wrapped card stock folder rather than the regular plastic cover? Both are 100% recyclable. “Hollywood†needs to make much bigger strides to overcome its inconvenient truth. http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/science/11/14...n.ap/index.html
Walmart has a deal where the DVD comes shrink wrapped with one of those twisty fluorescent light bulbs. B) I watched it via Netflix, but I think I'm going to buy a copy anyway... ____ Post-Walmart edit: Done! I also bought 9 more of those bulbs too, and two recycling containers.
