Argonne National Labs had their open house last Saturday (8/29), and featured Li Ion batteries in several locations - at their "Transportation Tent" where they had their Saturn Vue PHV on display - 42kw battery pack LiMn, liquid cooled it was, I believe. I was riding my recumbent trike around the grounds and didn't pick up info, but the battery mfg. was from Indianapolis, Ind. and the materials were paper thin disks in plastic pouches. Many displays on biofuels as well. Seeing the Advanced Photon bldg. was way cool with a young female scientist answering questions while playing with a yoyo! Huge circular building with enormous X-ray machine (simply put) inside! Multi talented, multi tasking at it's finest!
