So i went about installing my EV mod when i got it two weeks ago, and had some trouble (not entirely unexpected, after reading the site). I messed with the pin for a while, and finally went to bed disapointed. Now, after two weeks of exams and kayaking (oh the joys of warm weather!), i got back to the install, this time armed with my handy DMM. After some testing, i found the problem: when attaching the chip leads to one of the wire taps, i had inadvertantly bent the pin/plate, so it was no longer going into the tap, instead around it. Given the tight spaces involved,it's possible that others might run into this, so i thought i'd post an FYI.
