another maintenance light question

    the manual says after 4500 the maintenance light starts flashing and at 5000 miles it stays on

    i am at 9500 miles, and the car is almost time for another oil change

    ive never seen the light do anything but come on and then turn off

    Two questions:

    1. What was the mileage at your first oil change?

    2. Was the maintenance reminder light reset at that time?

    5,224 was last oil change, never recalled seeing the light flash
    or stay on, and i think its been like at least 8000 something miles
    since i turned off the rear back up alarm, so i do not know

    current milage = 9595

    will report back in 129 miles, heh
