http://www.news.com/8301-13578_3-9825287-3...ml?tag=nefd.top So this was a bill i hadn't come across until today. The intentions are good - it's designed to fight home-grown terrorism. However, from the description here i can't support it. The bill wants to set up a commission to investigate Americans with "extremist belief systems" - I'm sure it gets support from the republicans because they're all about targeting Muslim extremists. And it gets support from the democrats because they're all about targeting Neocons. But at the same time, this bill goes against the very foundation of our country. People initially came here seeking refuge from religious persecution. We were formed on the basis of religious freedom (among other things). This bill appears to want to trample all over that. has anyone else heard of this/have more information about the bill?
