Anti rust Door hinge caps

I don't think I've seen any sign of rust on the door strikes or door checks on my 2010. I wonder if covers like that could even trap moisture there and be counterproductive?

Unless they're glued on with grease, that's a place for rust to hide.

 

Fair point, in your gentle climate there's not likely to be any consequence.

Those won't do anything for rust. For decoration, they are fine. For rust (if you live where there is salt), spray a little Fluid Film on the stiker and latch and this will coat the metal with a flexible oil that will keep the moisture and salt off.
