As many of us explore our PiP in winter climates, the issue of window fogging has come up in several threads.

Anyone care to share recommendations/personal experience with antifog products? I used one of these Blue Magic/Never Fog towelettes about 6 weeks ago and it definitely reduced my fogging. I still get some fogging, and I do notice a little smear/greasy residue remaining as some of the negative Amazon reviews discuss (perhaps due to my poor application job?), but it was definitely worth $6.

Perhaps others have had good luck with other products? Most of the time I just crack the windows, esp. for short trips. But when the temps are in the single digits as they have been recently that stops being fun fast ;)

I have an 11 mile commute so keeping the PIP in EV is important to me. To avoid using the defroster, I tried both the towelettes and Rain-X anti fog. The Rain-X worked better, but it wears off. I also cleaned my windshield really well with Stoner Invisible Glass before applying. I tried a windshield wonder, but that only keeps the fog clear for a few minutes/miles, then the fog returns (and it wipes away the anti-fog).

To apply the Rain-X you have to follow the instructions on the bottle exactly. Between the Rain-X anti-fog and keeping the temperature on "lo" with the fan vents set to foot and windshield, the fog is not a problem. However, my feet are getting cold.

Has anyone tried to blocked the foot vent with a piece of soft foam? Would that direct more air to the windshield?

I vote with Mark for the Rain-X.

Ordinarily I would have gone with Rain-X too because of the success of their exterior windshield product. But there were several strongly negative reviews on Amazon commenting on how ineffective it was and how difficult it was to get streak-free or to remove. Maybe these folks didn't follow application instructions though...with several of you having success it's worth a try...

Me too, but I live in a smaller town and many of my "trips" are only a few minutes, 2-3 miles, so that isn't too bad even in single digits :)
