LOL, maybe because it's time to polish/wax it again... :D

Car has almost 7,000 miles and is in pretty good shape except maybe for a tiny, tiny nick or two on front bumper (and seemingly unavoidable light swirls). Maybe not too late to get a clear bra?

Tried to look for recent reviews of installers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Not too much luck. Do you know of anybody/place(s) that you'd recommend?

    Thanks!

I'll start by saying I'm not a fan of clear bras. Particularly on dark cars, the edge lines (especially on the hood and fenders) are very noticeable. If you haven't already, I'd recommend seeing one on a car that's a similar color as yours before taking the plunge.

Having said that, I'd suggest calling a local high end car dealer (try Carlsen Porsche or Rector Porsche) and ask who they use.

Thanks Stream, you're right. Probably best to see an actual application. I've only seen pics on various car forums via internet searches. My thought was, if not horribly more expensive than partial wraps, to do fully wrapped hood, bumpers, mirrors, etc... to avoid lines.

I hesitated on a clear bra for it's possible downfalls too. But reconsidering as we usually keep our cars for awhile. Also, knowing the soft clearcoat and paint on the Prius and wanting to take some precautions against road debris  before longer trips...
