I am seeing more and more semis with a sheet of plastic(?) going from the front of the trailers to just in front of the rear dual axles to get better aerodynamics. How much do they help? I noticed on a single truck a few months ago an added on aero package on the rear of the trailer, making it tappered...never saw another one. Speak up, I KNOW only a very few tail gate while the biggest problem are the four wheelers. :welcome:

They are trailer skirts. Good for about a 5+% increase in economy. Those and supersingle tires make a pretty big difference.
I knew that both mods would be good for something....thanks guys. I still remember when they started putting huge spoilers on the cab to help the aero traits of the rectangular shaped trailer they were towing.
