Any tips on things to look for when buying used GenIII?

    I am about to purchase a 2010 GenIII which has done 28k kms from a Toyota dealership and it is still under new car warranty. Are there any particular things/problems I should look out for?

    I'd suggest having a pre-purchase inspection done by another shop. If you have another dealer do it (as opposed to an independent shop) they can also look up the vehicle service history.

    Get a CARFAX report. The selling dealer should offer it for free.

    How much more is it for a brand new 2011 (if you can still find one) or a new 2012?
    Finance rate is much lower for new cars vs. used....
