I know there are some similar threads and it doesn't seem like a possibility, but... Wondering if there is ANY possible way to prevent the interior displays from all shooting to 100% brightness when the headlights are turned off. Have looked through the manual and all available options in the Carista app, don't see anything. Any workaround out there? 2012 Prius V Five
What are you trying to achieve? If you are trying to prevent sudden blinding, there is an off function on my switch which prevents the light from coming on at all.
I'm just trying to be able to sit in my car with the headlights off at night, while listening to music or whatever, with the displays at a normal (non-maximum) level. An off function on your switch? Are you talking about on the interior light level dial on the bottom left of the dash by the headlight cleaner button?
Was talking about the dome lights switch up above the windshield. If you are talking about the instrument panel, then the dial is all I know about. Left knee position. Even has an off position.
Yeah the left knee dial, when the headlights (or parking lights) are on, shuts the displays off when it's turned all the way down. However, if headlights are off, the displays are all set to maximum brightness and the dial does nothing.
You referring to the parking lights (first notch on the left stem)? It treats that the same as headlights if I remember correctly.
