So, I think my car came with this damage upon delivery, but I can't prove it as too much time has passed. I should have done a more through inspection back then.

I was wondering how difficult it would be to replace this piece....anyone ever done it? These scratches definitely will not buff out, (white material at the junction of the pieces is snow....).

    Thanks,

I was routing a dashcam through this trim recently, and it's a little annoying. If you grab the Complete Gen 5 (2023+) Repair Manual Available, you can refer to the headlining removal PDF in the repair manual to see where the clips and bolt are (rear seat side garnish).

I didn't have to take out the seats, just unscrewed the bolt (kind of a tight fit), pop the clips, and shift out of the way to route the dashcam wire, but if you want to completely replace it, you'll also need to disengage the airbag connector and reconnect it to your new trim. You'd also need to pull up the scuff plate in the door and pull off some of the weatherstripping.

Side note, I sheared the bolt (over-torque) when I was replacing the trim in my car, so if you decide to replace this bit, let me know if you don't need your bolt anymore :D
